I have not printed yet, but a buddy of mine swears to protoparadigm PLA. It's quite expensive but you never need to worry apparently.

I used lot of PLA and ABS from www.protoparadigm.com and they are solid. My preferred supplier for both PLA and ABS. In fact that's pretty much only filament I used.

Watch out for black ABS! It can include a lot of recycled crud (because it's black)! I bought a bunch from protoprinter that was crud and jammed up my hot end, but in their defense, they have excellent customer service and even signed a contract with their manufacturer to only supply virgin plastic. This is very important, if your business depends on 3D printed parts, as mine does. Protoprinter is sending replacements. I should have it Monday and I'll let you know how it is.

A very experienced friend of mine say Ultimachine filament is good (he only uses ABS). I've place and order there too. Should have it Monday also.
